And so it begins! Tax Season 2024 is off to a great start after our annual Tax Kickoff Meeting at Brix Tavern. We spent the day strategizing, brushing up on our procedures, and enjoying fantastic food…
Still dreaming about our company excursion to Providore Fine Foods earlier this month! We were spoiled with wonderful, hand-crafted cocktails and a mouth-watering lunch before being set loose on the store. Providore, you are one of a kind. Thank you to everyone who made our visit so spectacular.
A special thank you to our partners at Summit Bank for joining us.
If you are in the area and have need a quick fix for dinner, try Providore’s take-home chicken dinner! It was absolutely delicious.
What an eventful October here at Pittman & Brooks! In just one month, we:
1. Wrapped up the 2022 tax year with the 10/15 deadline, celebrating in style with cocktails, board games, and the announcement that three of our staff members are expecting!
2. Sent three of our team members (Christine, Katie, & Sharon) to sunny Orlando, Florida for the CCH User Conference. Why? To keep us on the forefront of tech innovation and industry best practices. We are always learning and always growing! #CCHUC23
3. Participated in our favorite fall activity year after year: the With Love Pumpkin Patch event.
Are we planning on slowing down in November? Think again! We’re just revving up for 2023 year-end tax planning
Congratulations to our very own Lance Siebler for completing his 38th marathon on Sunday at the Portland Marathon! With 37 Portland Marathons under his belt, we couldn’t be more impressed by his dedication and stamina!
We are excited to introduce Jordan as the newest addition to our Pittman and Brooks family. She will be joining the admin team as an Administrative Assistant, supporting both Shareholders and internal processes with firm management. With her roots in Sherwood and a passion for our company’s vibrant culture, Jordan is the perfect match for our team. She was drawn to the firm by the long tenure of our employees and appreciated that this is a company people join to spend much of their career, a rarity for companies nowadays and a testament to our culture.
Jordan is a devoted parent to her four-year-old son. In her free time, she enjoys thrifting, cooking, and camping. We’re thrilled to have Jordan on board, and we can’t wait to see the positive impact she’ll bring to our Pittman and Brooks family.
Here at Pittman & Brooks we just celebrated our 35th annual Company Retreat. The theme this year was ‘Be the Difference’. For two days we focused on how to make a difference in the lives of our employees, our clients, and our community. We have great memories of collaboration, innovation, and camaraderie. In the spirit of gratitude, we would like to recognize some special companies who helped make this such a remarkable retreat.
Ironlight: Your venue space was amazing. Thank you for your time and energy during this retreat. Your hands-on service was exceptional.
Broken Top Whiskey: The whiskey-tasting event was everything we hoped for. We appreciate your impeccable service and for giving us such a great memory to look back on.
Artemis Food: Every meal was delicious, and your services were outstanding. Thank you for helping make this event such a success.
Arrowhead Chocolates (Featuring Jacobsen Salt): We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to feature you as one of our clients at the event. Your chocolates were such a tasty treat.
Dan McArthur and Cynthia Parker (McArthur Executive Development): We always look forward to your impactful presentations. We’re so grateful to have you as part of our team.

Congratulations to our newly promoted Practice Manager, Tom Thaxton!
He had this to say: “My favorite part of working here is our Annual Retreat. I’ve seen this company make big leaps of improvement based on one staff member’s suggestion at retreat. It doesn’t matter how new they are or what position they hold, each Pittman & Brooks employee has the ability to flip this company on its head and create serious positive change, and I just love that!”
This year, we decided to try something new - we closed the office for the week of Independence Day!
In this industry, it’s almost impossible to ever slow down. We wanted to give our team a chance to get away and enjoy some summer sun with their familes and loved ones, and we think it was a smashing success!
We are back and ready to tackle anything and everything!
Pittman & Brooks, PC hopes you and yours had a fabulous and fun 4th of July holiday, and we look forward to seeing you soon!
